Participants needed for sustainable ocean use survey

Conservation International Hawaii is partnering with the NOAA’s West Hawaii Integrated Ecosystem Assessment team to develop an ocean management tool, the West Hawaii Ocean Health Index, to capture the multiple ocean uses and understand across sector ocean management. It is the first integrated assessment framework that scientifically combines key biological, physical, economic and social elements of the ocean’s health.

Local expertise and community input are sought to modify the tool. A West Hawaii OHI workshop will be held Dec. 2 at the West Hawaii Civic Center from 10:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Those unable to attend are asked to complete a survey at https://goo.gl/forms/fnEoEQIJULnvtsyv2
